Imām al-Bāqir (as) has said: ''[Then he - Imām al-Mahdī] will set out towards Kufa, then from that city 16.000 people of al-Batriyyah will confront him, armed with weapons, reciters of Qur’an, Fuqaha of religion, their foreheads have sign of prostration, their faces are yellow due to fasting, but their aim is hypocrisy, all of them will say: O son of Fatimah (sa) go back, we do not need you, so he will confront them with sword in the back of Kufa, on Monday from noon to evening he will kill them faster than slaughtering the camels. So no one from them will remain and from the companions of Imām (as) no one will get harmed. Their blood is a sacrifice for Allah. Then he will enter Al-Kufa and with fight with its fighter so that Allah is pleased.'' Source: Dala'il al-Imamah by Ṭabarī al-Imami, page 239,

The 12th Imam Will Kill the Zaidis for rejecting him
Imam Zayd (as) Reprimands Rafidah For Attributing Tabara toward the Sahaba
When Imam Zayd (AS) heard a man narrating that his father Zaynul Abideen (AS) made tabarra upon Abu Bakr & Umar, Imam Zayd (AS) said,
"Do not lie upon my father!" Page 141 of the Companions According to Az-Zaydiyyah. Reference taken from Tahqiq fi At-Takfir wa At-Tafsiq of Imam Yahya bin Hamzah (AS).It is not from the methodology of Zaydis to revile nor curse Abu Bakr & Umar. Any who does this is off of the methodology of Ahl al-Bayt according to the consensus of the Imams who themselves did not curse them, from Imam Ali (AS) to Imam Majduddin Al-Mu'ayydi (AS).
Rafidah Say Prophet Adam (as) did not Testify to the Waliyah of the 12 imams
Sura TaaHaa Ayah 115"And certainly We took a covenant from Adam before, but he forgot; and We did not find in him any firm resolve."
Imam Muhammad Baqir (asws) said, "And certainly We gave a covenant to Adam before, but he forgot" refers to the taking of an oath from Adam (as) regarding Muhammad (saw) and the Imams (asws) after Him but Adam (as) was negligent in His oath. Adam (as) did not have the "firm resolve" to recognize the true status of Muhammad (saw) and the Imams (asws). The reason behind giving the title of Olil Azm (owners of the "firm resolve") to the five Olil Azm messengers is that Allah took an oath from Them regarding Muhammad (saw), His Successors and al Mahdi (atfs). They, the five Olil Azm, testified to this oath with "a firm resolve" they accepted the oath as the truth." (Al Kafi vol 1 pg 416, Tafseer Qummi Second Edition pg 65)Abu Hamza narrates
Imam Muhammad Baqir (asws) said, "Allah took a covenant from the prophets and said, "Am I not your Lord?" The prophets replied, "Yes. You are". Allah asked, "Is Muhammad (saw) not My Messenger? Is Ali (asws) not Ameerul Momineen (asws)? Are His Successors not the authorities appointed by Me? Are They not the keepers of My knowledge? Is al Mahdi (atfs) not the one with whom I will support My religion? Is He not the one through whom I will spread My government? Is he not the one through whom I will avenge My enemies? Is he not the one through whom the people will worship Me, willingly or unwillingly?" The prophets replied, "We believe in this covenant and we testify to this, O'our Lord". Imam Muhammad Baqir (asws) then said, "Adam (as) did not deny this covenant but He did not testify to it. Therefore the religion was announced through the five messengers who testified in al Mahdi (atfs). However Adam (as) did not have the "firm resolve" to testify. This is the meaning of this ayah." (Tafseer al Burhan vol 5 pg 191, Taweel al Ayat al Dhahira pg 313)Sura Furqaan Ayah 26
“The kingdom on that day shall rightly belong to the Beneficent Allah, and a hard day shall it be for the unbelievers.”
Ali bin Asbaat narrates from some of Our companions, “The kingdom” belongs to Allah on “that day” and on every other day but the above ayah refers to the rising of al Mahdi (atfs) when everyone will worship Allah.” (Taweel al Ayat al Dhahira pg 369)

Who gave dawah to Uthman bin Mazun (ra) ?
In a reply to Imam Ali (as) naming his children after the 3 calipahs, the 12er reply to one of the points by quoting this tradition.
Abul Faraj Isfahani (d.356) records in Maqatilut Tallbiyyin in Vol 1 page 23 and Allamah Majlisii in Bihar al Anwar in vol 45 page 38 Imam Ali a.s said: "I named my son on the name of my brother, Uthman bin Mazun"Okay let's accept this as a fact. Now my question is who gave dawah to Uthman bin Mazun? The answer is simple. It was the 1st Calipah Abi Bakr
Iran 1988 Massacre of Political Prisoners Under Khomeini
I noticed many 12ers are very critical when it come to the actions of the 3 Calipahs, but when it comes to Khomeini or Khamenei they are very silent.
Here is a clip which covers the 1988 massacre against political prisoners. They prisoners were tortured to death.
Shaykh Tusi Said Imam Ali (as) Forbade Muta under Taqiyyah
In many of these sources, and in Shi'i sources as well, the words: 'on the day of the Battle of Khaybar' are added. The Shi'i report that the great Shi'i ulama' such as al-Shaykh al Tusi considered this saying authentic but maintained that 'Ali was practicing taqiyya or 'dissimulation' when he uttered it-i.e., he was hiding the true situation in order to protect himself. (Wasa'il, IV, 441, hadith 32.)

Did Ali Permit Muta and blame Umar for it?
Here is the ahadith presented by our opponents.
Tafseer Durre Manthur Volume 2 p. 40 commentary Nisa 24:
"Hakim was asked whether the verse on Mut'ah has been abrogated, he said "No, Ali (RA) said: The Mut'ah is a blessing from Allah to his servants. If it were not for Umar forbidding it, no one would commit (the sin) of fornication except the wretched (Shaqi; an utmost wrong-doer)"I asked a brother check Imam Suyuti's Tafseer Durre Manthur and see how it connects to Imam Ali (as) through a chain. Here is what he discovered.
Ibn Jurayj said: Some man I believe said that `Ali said "The Mut'ah is a blessing from Allah to his servants. If it were not for Umar forbidding it, no one would commit fornication except the wretched."The first narrator here is ibn Jurayj who was born in 74 AH, while Imam Ali (as) passed away in 40 AH. Since ibn Jarayj did not provide details who the man is who is connected to Ali his evidence is based on hearsay. Therefore this is insufficient proof. From this one can conclude the ahadith chain is rated as Majhul.
6th Imam Communicated with His Mother While He Was In Her Womb
I was reading the biography of the 6th Imam by a PhD author named Mohammed Raza Dungersi. Since the 12er had a PhD I figured I might gain some knowledge on the 6th Imam. However, after I starting reading the intro I came across this attribution on Imam Jafar bin Muhammad (as):
It is reported that when Imam Sadiq (a.s) was still in his mother's womb, he used to communicate with her. According to Allama Majlisi Imam Jafar looked at the sky read the Kalima and called out the names of all the Imams before him. (A Brief Biography of Imam Jafar bin Muhammad (a.s.) Pg 4)After reading this attribution the only defense for the 12ers I can think of is that this book was made for the esoteric (khassa) group and not for the exoteric (Ammi) group.
Shaykh Mufid's Early Nasibi View Towards Imam Zayd
In the past I went through Shaykh Mufid's hadith books on the issue of Imamate on Imam Zayd (as), and he actually has ahadith on this topic which leans toward Nasabism.
Below is a reference from Shaykh Mufid Book Al Amali
Abu Ghalib Ahmad b. Muhammad al-Zarari reported to me from Abul Qasim, Hamid b. Ziyad, who reported from al-Hasan b. Muhammad, who reported from Muhammad b. al-Hasan b. Ziyad al-Attar, from his father al-Hasan b. Ziyad who said: When Zaid b. Ali advanced upon Kufa, some reservation entered my mind about it. He says: Then I went to Makkah, and passed by Madinah to call upon Abu Abdillah, peace be upon him, who was then ill. I found him lying prone on his bed, with nothing left between his skin and the bones. I said: "I wish to assert before you my creed." He turned on his side, and looking at me, said: "O Hasan, I always thought that you did not need this anymore." Then he said: "Proceed." So I said: "I testify that there is no god but Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah." He, peace be upon him, said: "The same with me, also." Then I said: "I confirm the truth of all that Muhammad b. Abdillah came with." He kept silent. Then I said: "And I testify that Ali is the Imam after the Prophet, and obedience to him is obligatory. Whoever doubts about him is gone astray, and whoever disputes his authority is an unbeliever." He kept silent. Then I said: "I testify that al-Hasan and al-Husain, peace be upon them, have the same position (as Ali)", and then I continued till I reached his name, and said: "And I testify that you are in the same position as al-Hasan and al-Husain and the Imams preceding you." He said: "Enough. You know exactly what you wish, you wish me to give my undertaking on this?" I said: "If you do so, then I will have fulfilled my desire." He said: "I give you my undertaking over it." I said: "May I be your ransom, I was worried about the uprising." He said: "Why?" I said: "Because if Zaid and his companions won the battle, then we would have been in the worst situation. And if Banu Umayya won, we would have been no better." He said: "Go, no harm will reach you from either." (Al Amali, Mufid)
12er Shia Scholar Shaykh Mohammed al Husayn al Muazaffar Says Imam Jafar Did Not Claim Imamate Due to Fear!
He first denies that Imam Zayd (as) claimed Imamate, but goes a step further and says Imam Jafar (as) did not claim Imamate due to Fear.
Here is what he writes in his book Imam Al Sadiq (as):
Some traditions were attributed to him showing that he requested the Imamate for himself. But the reason in them is very clear, because alSadiq, peace be on him, was afraid the authority of the Omayyads would relate Zaid’s revolt to him, so they would punish him, his family, and his followers (ShT’a) for that crime. So he drove away that danger with that attribution (Imam Al Sadiq, al-Muzaffar Pg 51)http://www.maaref-foundation.com/english/library/pro_ahl/imam06_sadiq/imam_sadiq/045.htm
12er Claim Imams did Taqiyyah during Imam Zayd's (as) revolt?
Here is a article which states the Imams did Taqiyyah during Imam Zayd's (as) revolt. In another they supposedly did not declare their Imamate.
Despite all the Infallibles’ support for Zayd and their emphasis on his character, they did not back him openly because Zayd’s uprising had to occur prudently while taking all precautions. The enemies might have heard about the Imam’s intervention and his agreement with Zayd’s uprising. Neither the Imam and Zayd nor his close companions wanted anybody to be informed about it. (A Biography of Imam Ja‘far al- A Biography of Imam Ja‘far al-Sadiq (a) by Muhammad Nasir Husayni ‘Ala’i , Pg 57-58)
Shaykh Mufid Provides No Proof Against the Imamate of Imam Zayd (as)
I was reading Shaykh Mufid's Al-Irshad. In this book, under the Seerah of Imam Baqir, Shaykh Mufid writes
"Many of the Shi'a believed in his Imamate. The reason for their belief was because of his coming out (in revolt) with the sword calling on support for the one who is acceptable from the family of Muhammad, may God bless him and his family. Therefore they thought that he intended that for himself. However that was not his intention because he knew of the right of his brother, peace be on him, to the Imamate before him, and of his bequest of trusteeship (wasiyya) at his death to Abu Abd Allah (i.e. Ja’far al-Sadiq), peace be on him.So here from Shaykh Mufid own admission the Shia of the time thought he was an Imam which means he did not declare the Calipate/Imamate of Imam Jafar(as). Also, when you read further he narrates Imam Zayd's (as) meeting with Ummawi ruler Al- Hisham bin Abdul Malik and says
"You are the one who thinks yourself entitled to the caliphate,. Hisham then replies to him and says, “and (you are) the one who hopes for it. But that is not for you. You have no mother. (At least) your mother was only a servant-girl."Now in a reply, Imam Zayd does not reply by saying there are 12 Calipahs and they are the only one entitled for it. Instead he replies that he is qualified and his mother's lineage does not disqualify him for it. He states
“I do not know anyone greater in rank with God than a prophet whom He has sent,” retorted Zayd. “(Yet such a prophet) was the son of a servant-girl. So if he had been unable to carry out His purpose, He would not have sent him. (That prophet) was Isma'il ibn Ibrahim (Ishmael, son of Abraham), peace be on them. Prophethood is greater in rank with God than the mother of the caliphate, Hisham. Furthermore, a man should not be ignored whose father is the Apostle of God, may God bless him and his family, and who is the son of ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib, peace be on him.”Nothing in the reply is about the Imamate of 12. In fact the ruler reacts.
Hisham jumped up from his assembly. He summoned his servant and said: “Don't let this man spend the night in my camp.”
